ARCHEOLOGICAL DOWSING:
To finish, this edition (bulletin N°2) would not be complete without speaking about Dowsing. I know that a number among you are interested in it and that others are perfectly incrédules, for the latter, this article will not say surely anything to you. But all the same, read it.
François of the CLERGERIE with writing a small opuscule on the phenomenon, here is an extract:
" As Michel MONK in a guide published with the Stock editions confesses it in 1978, the dowsing is currently invaded by an anarchistic proliferation of theories and methods which makes the set of its detractors of more or less good faith. What one knows less on the other hand, it is that it already was used by the Chinese a few two thousand years before our era to seek, using a rod, sources and layers mining and that Moîse would have been used for about it to make spout out, in full desert of the water of the rock of Horeb.
It was not yet question of dowsing but rather of sourcellery and rhabdomancie. It is among Romans that one would have started to use this science like instrument of divination. A manuscript of XIeme century even mentions that the rod had become in the Middle Ages an instrument of magic. It makes say that it reigned during this time characterized per much obscurantism, much of suspicion and that the things made then only worsen until XVIeme, dates to which the use of the rod was strongly suspected of being used as intermediary with an illicit trade with the devil. One knows the importance which the dowsing in the field of clairvoyance took, in particular since it clock supplanted the rod (end of the XVIIIeme beginning, XIXeme beginning) and that the waterfinders acquired a certain notoriety.
On the basis of this science and use of a pendulum, our matter is today to involve you in very an other facet that us
let us consider, when with us, like a science: the discovery of old sites. That they are disappeared cemeteries or hidden monuments. Some work which was completed is only one example among the what a pendulum in a search for this type can bring; others will follow which will be the subject of a more significant work.
Let us guarantee that you will not be disappointed and perhaps that you will change opinion into speaking from now on about dowsing and the fabulous uses which one can make of a science still too ignored ".

Here also a letter which I received lately: Dear Sir, I show you reception of your last letter and the plans which it contained. I can give courses of Archéologique dowsing, but one should not exceed 7 to 8 people. I advise you the book of Michel MONK ED. Stock that you will find in your bookshop, I can to also on the spot deliver them you at the time of a course (the book costs 130,00F). In this case I would come with my car because I also have my toolbox with witnesses to make search... All my Weekend are taken until July. I go to make on this date search with underwater plungers off the Atlantic, on wrecks... I will turn over you the plans by a forthcoming mail, because one of my colleagues checks of dimensioned sound, which I found, without knowing the result of my search. At first sight, there are several Celtes sites or Gallic, of the cemeteries with bronze, but that could be checked on the spot with the courses.....Si you want to write to François of the CLERGERIE, here its address: 28, data base of Vésone 24000 PERIGEUX Such: 05.53.53.32.63.
